Heart 4 Harlow

Heart 4 Harlow is about bringing together the church and the wider community to work in partnership for the good of the town.  This involves developing relationships with our local MP, with the local authority, business, commerce, local charities and community organisations, as well as local churches.  We will work with anyone to identify those ways that we can work together to meet the needs of the town.

Visit the Heart 4 Harlow Website.

Heart 4 Harlow is delighted to announce that St Stephen’s Church will be running another Kintsugi Hope Group - please see the details below:

Following the success of the first course in the spring of this year, the next Kintsugi Hope wellbeing course will be at St Stephen’s Church, Tye Green, Harlow.

There will be four taster open evenings at St Stephen’s on the following Thursday’s evenings:

9 June, 7 July, 28 July, and 1 September at 7:30pm.

These evenings will be a good opportunity for you or anyone else you may know that is interested in the course to find out more, to talk to the group leaders and previous participants, and to get a taste of what the course is like.

The new course itself will commence on Thursday 22 September at 7:30pm and run for 12 consecutive weeks.

A Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group is a safe and supportive space:

·         for people who want to improve their mental wellbeing resilience

·         for people who feel or have felt overwhelmed

·         for people wanting to gain tools for self-management

·         for people happy to work in a facilitated peer mentoring style setting.

Issues covered include; disappointment, loss, anxiety, anger perfectionism, shame and resilience. Feedback so far has been amazing.

For full details about Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups can be found on their website: https://www.kintsugihope.com/groups

The group will be led by Ian Beckett (St Stephens) and Julie Stevens (Freshwaters) and is supported and encouraged by Heart 4 Harlow. We hope and pray that this will be the first of such groups at St Stephen’s and throughout our churches in Harlow and the villages.
