Sunday meetings

As a Church we are committed to finding ways of engaging all ages in Christian worship, prayer and teaching, all of our Sunday meetings start at 10.30am at the Leah Manning Centre.

Regular Sunday Worship

On the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays we meet together for a time of worship, prayer and teaching.  Afterwards there is an opportunity to receive prayer and a time to develop friendships while enjoying light refreshments.

Our worship style is informal and does not follow set liturgy.

Services in Residential Homes
Each month a team of us takes a short Gospel service in Tye Green Lodge or Ashlyn’s (their dementia unit).  We keep it light and varied, with hymns (usually old favourites which the residents know and enjoy singing), puppets, poems and often a drama or sketch on a Biblical theme, followed by a simple message.  We also share personal testimonies describing how Jesus has changed our lives.

The residents are happy to chat and sometimes be prayed for after the service.  The Lord has blessed this outreach and it gives us great joy to be part of it.  We welcome anyone who shares our vision to honour the elderly to join in this rewarding ministry.
