Freshwaters Contact Centre
In association with the Christian Church in Harlow
Freshwaters Contact Centre helps to re-build relationships between parents and children
who have been separated due to a family breakdown. It provides a warms friendly
neutral environment where the absent parent can visit, talk & play with their child/children,
where there is, unfortunately, no viable alternative.
Aims
- To alleviate hardship and distress of children after marriage breakdown
- To preserve and protect mental and physical health of children by providing a facility
where they can enjoy the company and love of their non resident parent
- To provide a relatively short term solution to help contact establish and for trust
to be built/rebuilt
Supported Contact
We offer SUPPORTED contact which is defined as:-
- low vigilance
- several families at a time in the rooms
- volunteers and staff keep a watchful eye (at least one volunteer in each room and
one at the door)
- conversations are not monitored
- as a general rule no reports are made except dates of attendance
